Offham 1st XI Winning Draw  

On a hot sunny day we were put into bat first on this the opening league match of the season.

Against a fairly modest Bapchild attack, an opening partnership of 97 between Andy Cox and Tom Gittings set a solid foundation for the team to eventually amass 245 for 7 off the allotted 50 overs. Tom scored 86 off 111 balls including 2 sixes and 9 fours. Ben Gittings batting at number 4 took full advantage making his highest league score of 90* off 79 balls (5 sixes and 6 fours).

Bapchild never looked interested in winning the game and only made 12 off their first 10 overs. Our bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals but were unable to take the last three required and the game ended in a winning draw with Bapchild on 182 for 7. Skipper Graham Razey was the pick of our bowlers taking 2 for 34 off 15 overs, well supported by Simon Hallbrook with 2 for 38 off 12 overs.
